Brand new Lifepak CR2 defibrillator installed at the KR SLSC gear shed for public use
The volunteer garbologist Litter Picker Station to combat visitor rubbish and microplastics
The Triangle Makeover + Revegetation Project on Hawdon Ave and Grey River Road
Monitoring of wildlife welfare and interference, to help inform agencies, for better education within our region

Started a community taskforce to take pride in where we live and holiday, tackling litter, conservation and weed management. Each win celebrated with a cuppa afterwards and a chance to connect with others
Funded plants, indigenous to the area, selected by GORCAPA and propagated by SOLN for the Kennett River Riparian Zone Revegetation Project.
Collaborated with Wye to Wongarra Landcare Group and GORCAPA for an ongoing Sea Spurge education program
Media coverage raising awareness of over tourism and local wildlife welfare issues
Stainless steel, bird resistant bins installed throughout Kennett River in July. We advocated for cockie proof bins in all neighbouring communities, so that our problems weren’t pushed on elsewhere
Solar compacting Smart Bins installed August 2024
Collaborated with Southern Otway Landcare Network on a successful Victorian Coastcare Grant - Beat the Sweet (Pittosporum)
Sourced and donated $1,400 worth of prizes to the KR SLSC for their annual raffles
Initiated a traffic safety management plan with the Colac Otway Shire in April 2024 for improved safety outcomes within our busy precinct
Requested GORCAPA put in counters along the riverbank to start measure and monitoring usage and impacts on the environment - as we look to better understand carry capacity and ecological health within our community
Launched Keep The Wildlife Wild education campaign on 7 December 2025
Collaborated with Living Culture, Clean Ocean Foundation and Gidja Walker (OAM) to provide a cultural community walk - extending our knowledge of indigenous culture and practices
