Next steps for wider community engagement...
Community engagement for the Geelong City Deal - Improvements to Tourism Infrastructure at Kennett River Project plans open today…
Monday, March 3 and will close at midnight on Sunday, March 23.
To view the plans, visit the GORCAPA Have Your Say page or scan the QR code below.
GORCAPA will be hosting online information sessions to walk through the draft Precinct Plan, and Caravan Park Master Plan. They will explain how to provide feedback, and answer questions.
You can register your attendance to the online sessions here.
GORCAPA online community information sessions will be held:
Thursday 6 March, 5:30pm to 6:30pm
Tuesday 11 March, 12:00pm to 1:00pm
Saturday 15 March, 10:00am to 11:00am
Thursday 20 March, 7:00pm to 8:00pm
There will be 2 surveys available for you to complete:
1. A survey on the draft Precinct Plan
2. A survey on the draft Caravan Park Master Plan
Each survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete and provides opportunities for both structured and open-ended feedback. The survey results will be reviewed and incorporated into the final Precinct Plan before submission for planning approvals.
Surveys are accessible here. Hard copies will also be available at the Kennett River Caravan Park throughout the engagement period.
With these types of projects, naturally there is a balance between wants, budgets, technical, environmental and legislative considerations. Please carefully consider the original brief set by GORCAPA of safety, aesthetics and visitation. Please consider also, if the infrastructure project does not proceed, we are unlikely to get this money again.
You can read our feedback provided to GORCAPA here.
As 2 of the 8 (CRG) Community Reference Group members, Elenore Lannigan 0414 158 908 and Jules Lin 0411 954 599 are available to answer any questions you may have in relation to the draft plans. Please feel welcome to reach out anytime.
